Heelloooo GUT family.
Can you believe it?? It’s the penultimate day of The GrownUps Table 30-Days of Drawing. AKA the Drawing Habit. Aka DrawTogether GONE WILD!
WHEW. Day 29 got me a little punchy. Settle down, WendyMac. Deep breath.
It’s a lot, though, right? A little emotional, even.
Reminder: THE GUT CONTINUES after the 30 Days! I’ll continue to share drawing lessons EVERY SUNDAY. Members will get drawing prompts and be able to share artwork in the GUT community chats. Members also have access to ALL previous GUT lessons and prompts in the GUT Archive. In the future we’ll have some LIVE GUT Member meetups on zoom (can’t wait to see your faces!) And yes, there will be another 30 day in the future. So grab a friend and let’s keep drawing together.
Today, I want to take a moment to step back and recognize each and every drawing we’ve done together over the past 28 (29!) days. When we regularly like this, it’s hard to get our heads around the volume of what we’ve accomplished. So allow me to literally spell it out for you. Here is the big list of every lesson and drawing we’ve done together in the GUT’s 30 Days of Drawing. I bet there are a few faves you’ve already forgotten.

WHOA, RIGHT?? We’ve come so far.
Even if you haven’t kept up, you took a leap, looked at the world differently, picked up a pen and used your body and breath to make marks on a page. AKA YOU DREW. Good job, you.
I’m saving the emo speech for tomorrow’s official GUT Graduation Day. (You didn’t think we’d wrap this up without a ceremony did you??) Today we reflect a little. Through drawing, of course. That’s how we do.
❤️ REMEMBER TO TAKE THE GUT 30-DAY SURVEY PLEASE & THANK YOU ❤️
Let’s get straight to the drawing.
Day 29. Drawing to Reflect
Looking back to look forward
There’s a ton of evidence around the power of reflection in learning: it deepens our understanding of subject matter and creates pathways for future learning. By looking back at our previous lessons and thinking through what we’ve learned, we bake those experiences into our brains. The knowledge becomes our bones.
