I'm one of your pilot teachers from last year! The kids are asking for more this year! Can't wait to keep drawing together! Thank you!! Love Sis Corita <3
Thank you for being part of DrawTogether Classrooms! We are paused on more videos for the moment due to high cost of production. Have you tried the podcasts with them? Love to hear what they think!
The students LOVE the podcasts. I think it's a great exercise in listening. I love how quiet the room gets so everyone can concentrate on the directions. I usually do a podcast a week. Cheers!
Sister Corita was the art teacher (at Immaculate Heart) of *my* art/drawing/painting teacher in my public high school in Los Angeles (when the government still funded art education). I was deeply influenced by this lineage, and now finding Sister Corita Kent on your show I am moved and happy. I just made a view finder, got up close, and lovingly drew some freesias on my kitchen table and felt so happy. I'm 68. I love your work Wendy.
Just would like to clarify that Sister Corita didn't actually invent the viewfinder :-) Artists have been using it forever...there's a 1525 Dürer etching of one in use, and it could have been around long before that.

Thank you so much for sharing more about Sister Corita! Need to get some work finished and then will make my view finder...
Onward and upward with the arts!
Great podcast!
