Dear Wendy, may I ask whether the posts come on a certain time every day? I am in Italy and was already eager to do the second day this morning MEZ time 😊. To know a little more here, helps me ‚planning my visit‘ to 30 Days of Drawing and thus keeping screen time in check. Thank you heaps and have a pleasant start into a new day.
Hi Daniela, Wendy tries to post around 7am US Pacific time, which is 9 hours behind you. Sometimes life gets in the way, and the chat is posted a little later, but we do our best to be consistent. I hope you’re enjoying the 30 days.
Hi Robin. You can do a search within the posts for art supplies and you’ll get some things. Most recently people were talking about what they like to use in the chats for 12/15 and 12/22.
Hi Jrene, You can start any time and do the 30 days any time. As a paid subscriber, you have access to all Wendy’s posts back to the beginning of (substack) time. Wendy has said that there will be another 30 day sometime in the future.
I was having trouble turning off notifications - the constant pinging was driving me batty. I took the advice to directly contact Substack (support@substack.com) and they got back to me within the minute this morning at 10:30 am. I was amazed and was given customized service re: what I had done already and the next step needed to turn off notications (FYI needs to be done both within the Substack app under Notications AND ! on my iphone's settings under Notifications. But you all probably already knew that.) Take-away - Substack support was great.
Thank you -k and K. I don’t use a computer 😱 but I’ll see if I can find a similar process on iPhone or iPad. (Or did I miss something? I’m not very tech savvy.)
I love the Draw Together experience so far but the challenge of connecting with others via responses to specific drawings is making potential connections rare.
Tim, it ain’t you. I use an iPad and iPhone too. Sometimes I just tap or double-tap or long tap or shake the phone and mutter curses until something happens. In the FAQ there’s a link to Substack’s help page for chat. It has more info on how to reply to other people.
I know just what you mean, Tim. This is such a dynamic and encouraging cohort that you (one, i suppose) just wants to participate as much as possible. Unfortunately, the tech situation makes that very hard. I hope you can get sorted out with the mobile app soonest. Sending good luck and good vibes! -karen.
Sorry I didn’t see this earlier, Elizabeth. You can jump in anywhere, but each day builds on the previous ones, so IMNSHO it’s best to start at the beginning. You can post your drawings to the chat thread for each day. Just scroll up from the latest thread to find the relevant day.
Hi Wendy! I subscribed to this year's draw together, but around day 17 got distracted by life and covid. Any chance the lessons are still available? Where do I go to find them?
Hi Jennifer, sorry I didn’t see this sooner. Wendy said the 30 days will be taken down at the end of February. It’s mid March now so we’ll see when she gets to it. So keep going! They should be in your Inbox. Let me know if you can’t find them.
The website says I can access the posts until March but I cant and I havent done half of them. It says pay to subscribe again...How do I see the daily posts until March 2025?
Hi Claire, if you’re paid you should be able to see them. Go to the Inbox in the Substack app or web page and scroll until you find the posts. To post your drawing in the respective chat thread, scroll up from the latest chat. Let me know if you need more help.
Hi there Kathleen. I JUST want the 30-day 10 minutes a day drawing. What do I need to do to make that happen? I'm not interested in chats or sharing my drawing or anything else. I JUST want the direction of what to draw for 30 days. Do I have to pay? and if so, can I pay for 1 month as that's 30 days?
Hi Gillian, yes you have to pay for a subscription. You can get a monthly one (30 days). It autorenews by default but you get notice - I think a week in advance - to cancel. The chat is part of the app/website but you don’t have to use it. Make sure in the settings you specify that you want the email newsletter, which will reduce your exposure to all the other features that Substack offers. If the email doesn’t show up, which sometimes happens, you can go to your inbox in the app or website to get the prompts.
The most common reasons people don’t get the gift email is checking a different email account and misspellings of the address. Also make sure they checked their spam filters and promotions tab.
Note: this FAQ was started in Jan. 2024, and updated for 2025. Be sure to read the comments earliest first!

Tech issues this AM! Working on it! Stay tuned :)
Wasn’t a complaint! More of an excitement over how it’s fun to have something I look forward to so much + so often! :)
Yes! Hi @Femily! Fun to be doing this together!
Can we talk about supplies? Or is there more archived chats about supplies. I love knowing about what everyone is using.

Thank you Art Auntie❤️
I missed the start :-( Can I subscribe later and do the 30 days in March? Or is another one planned?

How to send a suggestion for a lesson? Apol’s if it's already a faq!
You can add it as a comment on one of the posts.
Looking forward to starting together!
This is exactly what i needed! Thanks!

I only just joined. I suppose I should start at the beginning?

I only have 4 days of daily Draw Together emails. Is there a way to get all of the emails?
Sorry I didn’t see this earlier but I think we covered this in the comments. Phew.

Muss ich mir erst alles übersetzen.
Es tut mir leid. Ja, dies ist ein Newsletter auf Englisch.

I sent the free subscriptions to a couple of friends who can’t access them. Can you help?
That’s not good. Please write to support@substack.com and also copy Kyle at community@drawtogether.studio.

And thanks for offering the scholarships. Such a lovely gesture and great way to expand the community!
As Wendy says, no artist left behind! Glad things got cleared up.
My friend seems to have figured it out. Special thanks to Kyle for a quick response.
Thanks
