The bugs color wheel by Beth- I want this on my wall! 🤩Amazing !
I agree with the fall overwhelm & it sneaks up on me year after year- like a surprise. I can’t seem to remember that the beginning of a school year (I’m an educator...) is always like a tornado.
Beautiful share and thanks for opening this up to everyone so we can see what the GUT challenges offer!
Love that you highlighted Ruth Asawa. I first learned about her when studying wire crochet for the work I was doing into the health benefits of crafting and I've had the chance to see some of her work in that realm at de Young museum. Then I realized that she was also the maker of the now-dry origami-inspired fountains that are a few blocks from where I love. Amazing human and artist.
Def yes to another 30 day drawing challenge! My summer streak is now down to a weekly-ish streak due to aforementioned fall schedule changes. I really needed this GUT. Ty Wendy for the mediation practice ❤️
A big 'yes' from me to a new year 30-day drawing habit :) Feeling very lucky to be part of this community, Wendy. I 'heart' you and all that you stand for.
I just listened to the Ruth Asawa DT podcast and the whole time wondered how I could incorporate this at school. When I return to class this week and I’m still low energy, maybe I’ll just have my TK artists make paint stick loops and take it from there. Also...educators how do we ever turn this productivity button off?!?
😂My eternal question... I was telling myself just this afternoon that I would rest & then suddenly I thought of a way to help some of my students with learning to write certain letters. And down the rabbit hole I went... I think that is in big part what makes our job so a) diverse and rich b) so exhausting. The job doesn’t stop when the last bell of the day has rung or when we have left school...Our brains are still churning out ideas...No real answer here 😅🙏🏻
yes, of course--you are de boss, de best boss....... nice for the new year so we can wind down from the fall and recharge our holiday batteries for a new start.
This was wonderful. I came across this page from Suhita Shirodkar's Sketch Away Substack (say THAT five times fast!) and am smitten. Love the content and I feel more relaxed and creatively energized. Nice to know that other SF artists are still out there doing awesome things :)
Yes to another 30 day drawing challenge. Maybe in November?
Yes please!!
Am also in for another 30 day challenge! It's a lot more fun and easier to do, if you do it together :)

Big YES to another 30-day challenge! Was great to keep me inspired. And this week’s lesson is right on time.

I love these meditative exercises. And, always in for a GUT 30-day challenge; post-new year sounds lovely.
