So am I understanding correctly that DT is now more of a weekly newsletter more than a weekly drawing activity? Drawing activities will only take place one a month, but the newsletter will have other types of related information?

Hi Olivia, wendy here! Thanks for your question. We are pausing official shows as we work out more sustainable ways of creating them (turns out DIY’ing a show is a huge feat!) and continuing to create and share DrawTogether art activities, short videos, dispatches, kid-created work, art/SEL news and more. If there’s something you’d like more or less of let us know! And stay tuned for some exciting news… :)

Thank you so much for your reply and clarification. I imagine the entire process is very time consuming. For what it’s worth, my little guy (almost 5) really enjoys your drawing demonstrations. The 12-15 minute lessons were perfect little nuggets of information and guidance that sparked a creativity that would influence his subsequent drawings. You are one of two illustrators that I’ve found that don’t forget who their audience is and explain steps clearly and use techniques that are easy to follow, all while still encouraging personal freedom and expression. (Scott Campbell is the other.) While obviously visually and aesthetically pleasing, I’d say it was less about the production value, and instead just that my son enjoyed the time learning/doing something from/with you.

Thank you so much. We plan on doing little lessons like the original series we did the first few months of quarantine - tell him more are coming soon, and please send a request video :)

So great to have you back! I don't remember the last time it rained here and today it rained! My students and I were thrilled. Mid morning the sun was back and it all reminded me of your Inside Weather episode. We watched it this afternoon and tried out our new watercolor sets! Thanks for all you do and share.

Huzzah! A great example of being rainy and sunny at the same time. We’d love to see your watercolors - send to submissions@drawtogether.studio to share 🌈

I’m new on here… recently signed up for Draw Together. Maybe it’s pandemic fatigue syndrome, maybe I’m just missing something… but how do I actually see the classes? Do I just go through the ones on YouTube? I’m unclear on whether those are publicly available and there’s something else special for those of us who have signed up. Wondering if there’s a real time class that I’m missing.

Feeling clunky.

Hi Miranda! We released a season of DrawTogether via the newsletter and they are accessible both on YouTube and via links in previous newsletters which you can access through your membership, along with special activities and news. We are pausing on weekly episodes as we work out a more sustainable direction, but will continue sending out special weekly activities, dispatches, news and such to subscribers. So happy you’re part of DT, welcome aboard!!!

Hello! My name is Mila, I’m ten years old and I love to draw! I watch the ted talks art podcast and your episode was really inspiring! I love that drawing can mean anything and I love seeing kids being brought together by drawing especially during hard times.
