I wanted to tell you that I’ve so enjoyed the introductions you’ve provided to so many fascinating artists during these 30 days. Your hard work and research may not be commented on as much as your delightful lessons themselves, but I’m kind of hoarding some of these artists, whose work I will definitely delve into more!
Thank you SO VERY much Kathleen and Kyle. Those humans behind the work are critical to making IT work. Thanks making this experience one so powerful and meaningful to me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Wendy, Kathleen, and Kyle! I was already feeling great about this experience and then to see my drawing in today’s email was the cherry on top! 🥰 From the artist introductions, to your daily drawing prompts, to seeing and delighting in everyone’s work - this has been a tremendously heartwarming and inspiring experience. Can’t wait to hear Wendy speak in DC! ❤️
Thank you. I never managed to post my drawings because it felt like too much but I did it all and it was such a joy to peep at the gallery at the end of each email. So many kind and talented folks here! Love you all, next time I'll be a bit braver!
This has been such a soulful way to kick off a new year. Thank you, Wendy, Kathleen and Kyle for all of your collective expertise, research, moral and technical support and thoughtful curation you’ve done to make this a dream to participate in. 💕
Dear Wendy, Kathleen and Kyle: thanks a lot for all you did - at the scene and behind. You gave me joy every day - I'm looking forward to the next GUT meeting.
What a wonderful experience, taking me away from my oh-so-logical brain to something way outside my comfort zone. I laughed, I groaned, I felt proud (the upside down giraffe turned out lovely, so I am told. Thank you Wendy and thank you to those who looked at my, admittedly only few drawings I put up. I will continue to draw here and enjoy myself, learn about other artists who I had never heard/read about. 30 days of adventure and smiles in dark, grey January. :-)
Another 30 Day Drawing Habit complete! The one I completed with the GUT in the summer allowed me the freedom to create without the demands of school, so to complete this one while the school year is ongoing is a HUGE accomplishment for me! I may have gotten behind but I kept going! THANK YOU Wendy, Auntie Kathleen and Kyle! My heart is full, my hands are happy (a little cramped but that’s ok) my mind is (mostly 😊) calm, and my inner critic is buckled in the way, way back. She’s in a very loooong time out...Fear is NOT in the driver’s seat of my artistic life! The universe has guided me to this place of beautiful, creative people that I am grateful to call my ‘chosen community’ 💛
Thank you for getting me back into drawing. I greatly appreciated the time and care you gave to this project, the artwork you shared of your own and from other artists, and the links you provided.
I have never been afraid of drawing in the naive style that is all I know how to do, but it has been hard to maintain a habit.
I have plans now for what I want to try in February, centered around a weekly water color, which is a medium I have never used.
