I’m thrilled that this sharing option is available. I don’t love having every insta-friend looking at every tentative, weird, experimental drawing I want to share with my new GUT friends. I’ve felt it holding me back. It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day! 🙌🏼

I am glad to get this out of Instagram. I like looking at the work, but I am barraged by ads and other crud I don't want to see, and end up going down a rabbit hole. Also, it may encourage more sharing since it's a subscription space. I hope the community will give it a go.

Thanks but that wasn’t the fix! I am already in the Substack reader app and in the chat section of today’s message. I’ve visited the chat section for the other assignments and am only seeing comments, no posted art. I have an iPhone

Look for the chat feature from the main home page of the Substack app. Wendy shared a screenshot in this article.

Not there! Not on my iPhone nor my iPad. Only a chat bubble - does not look like the one Wendy posted nor do I see anyones photos.

You might want to force quit and re-open your Substack app, which is different than reinstalling: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201330

Agreed! Only a chat bubble, no posting icon per Wendy’s capture.

See jenny Tan’s comment below! You and I were clicking the comment button instead of the chat button.

I didn’t have the chat button available until this morning. It’s there now. Thanks !

Charlie B listened to Terrestrial Takeover with me. Here are the drawings we made while listening to the Terrestrial Takeover.

Glad to have an alternative to Instagram, which doesn't even let me view anything since I closed my account. I hope substack adds the chat feature to the website soon.

What do they mean by "soon"? That's what they said when they launched their initial app - and it took them 7 months to release the "test/beta" version for Android. Since I'm on Android I guess I'll be left out for who knows however long.

I wish app developers like Substack's were more egalitarian and would stop treating us like second class citizens. If they can't release their app to everyone, why not show that the company cares about all of their customers and wait until they can.

Hi, apologies about the wait — we're doing our best with limited engineering resources! We hope to have Chat for Android available within 1-2 months.

Sorry...but if you truly cared about all of your customers, you would wait until you could release it to every one. just FYI, there are more android users in the world than apple.

How can I “find” the place where we posted our drawings? that pathway isn’t obvious tho I know I’ve made it there a few times! I went to chat but only found comments but no images...

Nope, just a continuous loop back to where I downloaded it in first place. No posting icon

Hi Jasmine! Thanks for answering our questions. Is it possible to access this beta chat feature in a computer browser? Then the android users could see everything on a computer while they wait for the android app. (if they have a computer).

Not yet, but mostly because we think we can build Android faster than we can build it for web. We're working hard, I promise!

Thanks so much. We appreciate being able to access this feature, those of us with iPhones. :)
