Hooray!!! OG member here and I’ve proudly done all the 30 day challenges. I’ve been out of a drawing practice for a year plus (crochet/cross stitch/embroidery artist, here). I’m excited and a little nervous to try this again! I tried it as a total beginner two years ago and loved it but then fell off the train near the end and never really got back on board. I am still a total beginner but I figure that’s ok, I’m in it for the adventure!
Adventure is right! This is supposed to be fun, not a chore, and life happens. Like Dory said in Finding Nemo, 🎵just keep swimming, just keep swimming …. 🎶
I took a look at last year’s 30 day challenge notebook and I was so surprised to see that I had completed it! (Last January was really tough in LA) It was fun to visit my friends/drawings and see so much delight! Im guessing that I didn’t stay on schedule, but just keep going as best I could. Good enough is good for you!!! ❤️
This will be my 3rd go at it. My engagement with the GUT was up and down (mostly down) last year. Life, work, etc. But I just looked at my 2024 & 2025 sketchbooks from the 30-day challenges. Such fun time capsules and records of creative growth and commitment. Look forward to jumping in again! Thanks as always to Wendy, Kyle, Kathleen, Candace and all y’all beautiful people.

Yay! I loved (and completed) 2025's 30 days, then fell off, but I'm back again and so looking forward to it. What a great community this is.
