LIVE DrawTogether TONIGHT: 2024 Election Edition

Hey everyone. It’s a big day.

On Sunday I asked y’all if you had any interest in turning off the news (or at least muting it) and gathering online to draw together instead. The response has been huge and positive. So let’s do it.

Tonight at 5pm PT/8pm ET, I’ll host a live drawing session for an hour or so, with a couple special guests and maybe some music if I can figure out the speaker situation. We’ll draw some flowers and some relaxing doodles and other easy fun stuff. You can do whatever you want. No rules in art, and no experience needed, just chill coloring/drawing time. I will be in my comfy clothes.

The idea is to turn off the news and calm our nervous systems with some creativity and community. Nothing fancy. Just being together. Kids are welcome. Adult drinks optional. The only thing that is not optional….

Instructions for finding the DrawTogether on instagram live:

1. Head over to Instagram. (I took a poll and 70% of people voted to host the drawing on Instagram, and in my world we respect the popular vote. Hence instagram.)

2. Follow me: WendyMac (that’s my account name)

3. At 5pm PT check the stories at the top of the app and look for my face. Tap on it. It should take you right to the video. If not, wait a moment and try again. I might be running a minute behind/have tech issues.

4. That’s it! It’s a broadcast, but you can click “like” and send comments that I can see.
