My dear DrawTogether // Grown-Ups Table friends, colleagues, members, artists, subscribers, survivors, fighters, lovers, friends.
Regards from a sick bed somewhere beautiful south of the border, looking out onto what appears to be paradise. I wouldn’t know, tho. I’ve spent most of the past 48 hours in (TMI alert) the bathroom.
As they say, shit happens.
Let’s just have this be yet another great reminder to *NEVER DRINK THE PAINT WATER*.
This week’s GUT dispatch was meant to be an inspiring, invigorating report back from a visit I made last week to Frida Kahlo’s home and studio in Mexico City. Due to more “urgent” matters, I’m punting that to next week. (And I can’t wait to share an in depth Frida dispatch with you all!)
This week’s dispatch is less of a lesson and more of a shared travel postcard, if you will. I’m going to show you a drawing I made of where I’m at, and I’d love to see where you are, too. And sure, I mean geographically. But I also mean emotionally. Psychologically. Socially. Soulfully. Creatively.
I’d love to see postcards from where we’re all sitting, what we’re holding, what we’re feeling… right now, all over the world.
Okay, I’ll start. Here is mine.
Assignment: Postcards from the Edge
A short and simple opportunity for reflection and connection this week.
