Hi friends.
The 30 Days of Drawing starts tomorrow.
Stephen King said, "The scariest moment is just before you start. After that things can only get better.” What can we learn from a person who has written approximately 1,345,464 novels and still gets nervous when he begins a new project? That we don’t our nerves stop us from doing something we want to do. In fact, maybe nerves are a good sign. Maybe self-doubt is a signal we are on the precipice of growth. Maybe we can translate that internal voice that says , “I don’t know if I will be able to do this” into “these nerves are actually excitement, and a signal to take the leap.”
Take it from our lady of the desert, artist Georgia O’Keeffe, a role model in taking leaps and trying new things:
We start as a group tomorrow. Ten minutes a day. 30 Days.
Grab a pen, paper, some colors and let’s take a leap.
See you tomorrow.
xoxo

My Rules:
What I draw will be good enough.
Ten minutes a day.
I will not let someone sell me a $5.00 rubber band.
Happy new drawing year! 🖌️🖼️🎨💐
